So how is President Biden doing domestically? He has passed bipartisan infrastructure legislation, gun legislation, and much more using a bipartisan formula. Drug costs and inflation are going down, while recognition of climate change dangers is on the rise. The US economy has added 13 million new jobs, and unemployment is at an all-time low. He has made excellent infrastructure progress, in many communities throughout the United States.
Imagine going to work every day to confront reports via television, radio and the internet that 35% of American voters believe you are inept, a crook, and too old to govern. Then remember that a lot of the hostility is malicious. Is this new for a U.S. President? No. Abraham Lincoln for almost 4 years and Franklin Roosevelt in 1939 and 1940 received an inordinate amount of hostile criticism.
Harry Truman said if you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen. President Joe Biden can take the heat, and he can also dish it out. But his delivery is most often soft spoken, however he does carry a “big stick”, as Theodore Roosevelt suggested. Our president does not wear religion on his sleeve, but he is a serious Christian that “loves his neighbor”. He has a history of choosing the high road, and is much more conciliatory than full of dispute. Meanwhile, he wears the obligation of leading the free world with extraordinary skill. He revived and reestablished the strength of NATO. He also keeps dictators in Southeast Asia aware of America’s military might. His posture on Ukraine has led to over 100 countries speaking out in favor of Ukraine over Vladimir Putin. President Biden is fully committed to keeping Ukraine a free country.
So how is President Biden doing domestically? He has passed bipartisan infrastructure legislation, gun legislation and much more using a bipartisan formula. Drug costs and inflation are going down, while recognition of climate change dangers is on the rise. He believes in helping those on both sides of the aisle. The US economy has added 13 million new jobs, and unemployment is at an all-time low. Meanwhile, inflation has been cut in half in one year. He has made excellent infrastructure progress, in many communities throughout the United States.
How is the public responding to all of these positives? Ex-President Donald Trump in recent polls is tied with President Joe Biden. And the Democratic voters polled suggested they think the President is too old to run for a second term. Is this evidence of an ungrateful voter? No. The voter is simply busy working and bringing up their children. They need an explanation to see all of these positive revelations emerging. The voters all need to reexamine the U.S. Constitution and the genius of our Founding Fathers.
My two older brothers are buried in Arlington Cemetery. They did not fight to protect the rights of a wannabe autocrat, or dictator. They fought for protecting our freedom, the U.S. Constitution and the Stars and Stripes.
Now we see a duly and properly elected president, who is not rich, being accused of weaponizing the F.B.I. and the Department of Justice to go after ex-President Donald Trump. Is there any truth to that accusation? None. It should be pointed out that when President Joe Biden won the 2020 election, he soon made it clear that the Republican prosecutor on the Hunter Biden matter should remain on the job under the new Administration. Despite this, right wing Republicans, Fox News and many other sources throw up loud accusations that the Biden family is guilty of all accusations until proven innocent. In other words, they are flipping our American legal system on its ear. Are we being forced into mob rule in place of rule by the courts? We must calmly allow the court system, facts and evidence, to emerge out of what seems like so much chaos.
In the 8 years of the Obama-Biden Administration, there were zero criminal indictments against Democratic appointees. There were no remarkable scandals in that Administration, but plenty of positives.
Finally, President Joe really does know the political ropes. St. Peter said in the New Testament to “honor your government, pay your taxes and pray for those in authority.” Joe Biden has won the right to be President fair and square with no scandal attached. We all must abide in the facts and evidence right before our eyes.
I believe in angels and I see them giving Saint Joe plenty of applause for his service to his country for over 50 years.
It is not a bad idea to give President Joe Biden the honor he deserves, from both sides of the political aisle.
