Welcome to our new web log, “Return to the Beginning”. My name is Jeff Austin and while I am working behind the scenes to bring this information to you, the true future of this blog will be filled with the thoughts, words, and philosophies of my step-father Gregory N. Austin. While he has penned countless letters to political friends and foes alike, and authored two books on subjects near and dear to his heart, this is his first foray into the wilds of the internet! So I will push the buttons and turn the knobs required to bring this blog to life, but the words in the following posts will all be from Greg himself as he uses the observations gained over 80+ years of participating in American society. He ultimately desires a rebirth of the 240 year American spirit embracing the rule of law, the pledge of allegiance to our flag, and the U.S. Constitution. He wants to see a calmer and more enlightened American voter emerge from the current political chaos gripping our nation by dropping what he calls “truth bombs” to counter the lies and misinformation currently flooding the internet and airwaves. Greg believes that one of the keys to reaching that enlightened state is looking back to, and learning from, our shared history. And it is for that reason that we have titled our new blog “Return to the Beginning”.
