The only thing I can add to the Harris-Walz program is to show even more and more and more patriotism. Their opponents have shown hostility toward their own country! Their opponents feel Hungary and Russia have a better government than the United States of America. We must rescue sanity; we must be prepared to defend the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law. The spirit of truth will carry the day for us, and we will have a victory on November 5th! But of course, only after a lot of hard work between now and then. We need all hands-on deck! Hard work for a great cause is the way out.
In 1792 as George Washington was assuming his Presidency of the United States, he called for the people to display patriotism. Never forget Washington rejected the power of a king or a dictator. Meanwhile those other 55 men in Philadelphia in 1787 had rejected more power for themselves. After their victory over King George III of England, they embraced the Articles of Confederation. However, within three years that document began to fail as an instrument to stabilize and keep chaos out of the new government. So they had to make decisions on what to do next. George Washington especially was upset over the inability of the new colonies to have a good government. The outcome of the Philadelphia meeting, which took over three months in the hot Summer of 1787, was a final decision by the Founding Fathers to simply turn over the governing of the 13 colonies to the people. Their creation, the U.S. Constitution gave the people all of the power. That Constitution was intended to be the legal soul of the United States of America. Are "we the people" now being tested after 248 years over the value of our legal system? You betcha!
But good news happened last week in Chicago, when 15,000 delegates from all over the country gathered at the Democratic National Convention. They seemed to be on a mission. They were filled with joy, kindness, love, and most importantly determination. There was an array of great speakers, many of which were Republicans that were switching sides because of the failure of their party. It should be noted that after four days, many of the delegates had lost their voice because of participation, singing and yelling.
What's the deal here? What is the reason for all the new spirituality and patriotism? Do these folks feel our U.S. Constitution, our rule of law may be at risk? Oh yeah!
Ex-President Donald Trump thinks he is a qualified candidate to retake the U.S. Presidency. This is despite being a convicted felon. Here is a man who was telling over 30,000 lies, all fact checked by the Washington Post and Toronto Star. While President, Trump broke a record for a first term President over the Federal debt which came to $7.8 Trillion. He remains adamant that he can still govern. Remember over 100 professional Historians that commonly rank the order of a President’s success, found President Trump to be in last place of the 47 Presidents. Please remember that if it’s true that your pants catch on fire when you lie, then as long as I've been watching ex-President Trump on television, I often thought he must go home every night and throw his pants away.
How is it that he has such a large following? Plato said "democracies pass into despotism". What takes its place? Most often, authoritarians and dictators. They catch the people sleeping, off guard, and they assume power through intimidation, threats, lies and so on and so on. Who do they go searching after for support? Many are called dupes, stooges and willing idiots. Some of them treat their new leader as a God like cult figure, and will even go to jail on their behalf. We have witnessed this happening in relation to the January 6th 2021 insurrection, and many other instances. Ex-President Donald Trump embraces the 8th grade bully syndrome of, talk tough, act tough, lie, intimidate, then threaten retribution. His big big fault? Well, as we used to say in my 8th grade country school in 1951, “He can dish it out, but he can't take it”. What's my point in all of this? The new team of Harris-Walz have an easy job to do. All they have to do is tell the truth about their opponent and let the voter know exactly what's going on. The problem is, Fox News won’t do it, the Heritage Foundation who authored Project 2025 won’t do it, SOTUS won’t do it, Elon Musk won’t do it, and Rupert Murdoch owner of Fox News can't afford to change the strategy of Fox News, even though they have paid out almost $1 billion for defamation. Despite this, they are still committed to telling half-truths, they exaggerate, they use inuendo and outright lies often. So, what's the answer?
We have two months to reaffirm the proper civics in governing America. The people in this country choose who governs them. We are not ready in this country for a takeover. We must let this be known to the MAGA Republicans, to CPAC, to China, Hungary and Russia, that we are not losing the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law to malcontents. We will protect our children and grandchildren from mayhem and chaos that these opponents are trying to foist on the public.
What would I do if I was on the team of Harris-Walz? They already know what to do. They smile, they laugh, they love. They are here to tell the truth and to make it clear to the public, their positions regarding the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law. The promise of America is the greatest it's ever been. We are the envy of the free world! We have faults, but we do what we can to overcome them.

"The Battle Hymn of the Republic", "Onward Christian Soldier". Find Fleetwood Mac’s "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow” and play it over and over if it's OK with Hillary and Bill Clinton who used it in the past. Remember, in 1941 when Franklin Roosevelt met Winston Churchill on the battleship Augusta in the Atlantic Ocean, the ship's band played inspirational American patriotic songs every day. I would play these songs at every event for the next two months, relentlessly if it was my choice.
Thank you, dear reader. Remember I am 87 years old and not in the best of health, but I ain't quitting! We must protect our children and grandchildren. We must rescue sanity; we must be prepared to defend the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law. The spirit of truth will carry the day for us, and we will have a victory on November 5th!
